Custom Home Photo Book

Leaving your home behind is hard, but leaving the memories you made is even harder. By combining my passion for architectural photography and my desire to create meaningful art, I make custom photo books for your home as it should be: lived in. When we move, we don't remember the spaces, we remember the memories. My photos of your spaces will evoke memories that you can take with you wherever you end up next!

Pet Photography*

My pet photography comes with an asterisk... You can think of my "pet photography" as "pet sitting with a side of pet photography". I can provide digital photos or create a custom photo book of your pet(s), all while making sure they're well taken care of while you're away; it's two dogs with one bone!

Music

Piano Lessons

Piano lessons should be as fun and exciting as they are challenging. With teaching experience that spans ages 4-15, I've successfully worked with students of many backgrounds and learning styles. Operating a small studio allows me to give each student the energy, attention, and flexibility they deserve. You can also find my piano teaching at the Maple Avenue Fine Arts Academy.

Accompanying

Accompanying, or collaborative piano, is a major part of JMU's piano performance degree. With 6 semesters of experience and countless musicians' repertoire under my belt, you can rest assured your performance or audition is prepared as it should be by a collaborative pianist: with professionalism in every moment.

Biography

Aidan Douglas is...

Aidan Douglas is a Pianist and Photographer with his bachelors degree in piano performance from James Madison University. He has studied with steinway artist Dr. Eric Ruple, and Dr. Gianne Zhu. At JMU, he served as both Vice President and Treasurer of the Keyboard Association.Aidan has enjoyed fantastic performance opportunities throughout his musical career. He was a repeat performer for the Wednesday Music Club scholarship (2024-2025), and had the honor of playing alongside his former studio at the Young Musician’s Showcase at Carnegie Hall (2022). JMU has also given Aidan ample experience with difficult pieces on stage, such as performances of Scriabin's 5th sonata and Mendelssohn's Variations sérieuses - the latter being performed as part of his capstone recital.Apart from performances, Aidan has participated in the 2023 Indie Film Music Competition, composing a score for the animated short film “Outdrawn” by Eric Cuizio. He also took part in the Curtis Mentor Network, a six-week summer program with a Curtis Institute alumni Amy Yang.With a love of learning, Aidan is looking to further his education through graduate studies, with the goal of having a DMA of his own to inspire future students the way his teachers have inspired him.
